First off, I’m not a vSphere guru but thanks for the compliment :)
For me, I started my steps by reading a lot of blogs and doing hands-on…I also find the product documentation to be extremely useful, though I noticed that nearly no one care to read it…speaking of which, you VCP exam will mostly come from the documentation itself…

If you want professional training, then VMware Education Services has quite rich courses with great content! You can check them out to see what interests you.

Do you have any video on installing vmware vcenter server v4.1 Windows Server 2008 R2 & SQL Server 2008 ?

Just having an issue installing it, I can get as far as given credentials for a user but the password can for be verified, the error is..."failed to verify the windows account, either username or password is incorrect"

I'm using the administrator account to login

sorry for the delay in the response. I’m not quite sure what is your issue, but from what I know, when you use a remote SQL server you need to use a sql based credentials not Windows authentication. The latter can be done only when you are installing the vCenter Server on the same SQL server. Hope this helps.
